The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the league’s most successful teams in recent seasons and currently hold the longest active division-winning streak in the NFC, having topped the NFC South in each of the last four seasons. Between quarterback Baker Mayfield, running back Bucky Irving, and wide receivers Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Emeka Egbuka, the Buccaneers should have a high-powered offense in 2025 and are the favorites to win the division yet again.
The question in Central Florida is whether or not Tampa Bay’s defense is good enough to hold up, given that the team surprisingly doubled up on a position of strength by taking Egbuka in the first round of the NFL Draft. Last season, the Buccaneers gave up 4,147 passing yards — the fourth-most in the NFL — and passed up on Texas’ Jahdae Barron, taking Notre Dame’s Benjamin Morrison and Kansas State’s Jacob Parrish in later rounds instead.
