Finishing well outside the playoffs was a massive disappointment for a team with Super Bowl expectations.
Though the 49ers suffered some free-agency departures, the team’s core remains intact. First-round pick Mykel Williams will bring a needed infusion of young talent. Extension talks loom large, but Brock Purdy took another step this past season. If he continues to develop and their offensive core remains healthy around him, this team could be headed for a bounce-back. With that in mind, let’s preview their odds for the season.
