The one thing in the NFL that will always speed up the rebuilding process is acquiring a franchise QB. It might be a little too early to say Drake Maye is that guy — Mac Jones also hilariously made the Pro Bowl in his rookie campaign — but the returns from his first professional season were very promising.
In general, optimism seems on the rise in New England. Following two decades of dominance, the Patriots have missed the playoffs in four of the past five seasons. However, things are much different in the organization than at this time last year. Alongside the aforementioned Maye, New England has brought in former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, former All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs and fourth-overall pick Will Campbell. This could be the start of some bright days ahead.
