The Jacksonville Jaguars made arguably the biggest move of the offseason, trading up from the fifth overall pick to the second overall pick in order to draft the Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter. Hunter, a highly-touted prospect from Colorado, is one of the most unique players in NFL history, as he starred as both a wide receiver and a defensive back with the Buffaloes and is expected to play some snaps on both sides of the ball at the professional level as well.
Between Hunter, new head coach Liam Coen, and general manager James Gladstone, Jacksonville has undergone radical change this offseason, hoping to move past a difficult era. The Jaguars have not finished more than one game above .500 since the 2017 season, when they made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game, and quarterback Trevor Lawrence hasn’t quite lived up to the potential that incentivized the team to take him first overall in 2021. He missed the final five games of the 2024 season with a concussion.
