It’s been almost a full year since Ronald Acuna played in an MLB game, but the former MVP is nearing a return.
He played his first rehab game as a member of the FCL Braves on Tuesday, May 13. He quickly reminded fans what they’ve been missing in his absence. The 27-year-old rocked a home run in his third at-bat of the game.

Acuna’s last MLB game was on May 26, 2024. He tore his left ACL in that game against the Pirates and has been recovering since. It’s the second ACL injury that Acuna has dealt with in his career as he tore his right ACL in 2021.
There isn’t a timetable for Acuna’s return to the Atlanta Braves, but tonight’s outing was a positive sign. He played the outfield for six innings before being removed from the game.
