MLB Prop Bets for Monday, May 12, 2025
Riley Greene over 1.5 H/R/RBI -120
I favor this matchup for left-handed batter Riley Greene against Red Sox starter Tanner Houck. Houck has struggled significantly against left-handed hitters this season, with a .444 wOBA, a 7.21 FIP, and six of the eight home runs he’s allowed. Greene has performed well against sinkers, which Houck throws 44% of the time. Since last season, Greene has posted a .433 wOBA and a .186 ISO against that pitch. Houck’s road performance has also been weaker, with a .418 wOBA and 5.99 FIP. Several indicators suggest this could be a strong matchup for the Tigers’ cleanup hitter tonight.
Wyatt Langford over 1.5 total bases +100
The Rockies are in town, so that’s great news for the Rangers. To make it even better, Chase Dollander is on the mound for the Rockies as well. I have no doubt he’ll one day develop into a fantastic MLB starting pitcher, but that time, however, is not now. Dollander has ugly numbers across the board and righties have tagged him with a .377 wOBA, a 5.04 FIP, and three of the eight home runs he’s allowed. Langford has been crushing four-seam fastballs, which is what Dollander is throwing 53% of the time. Langford boasts a .353 wOBA and a .182 ISO against that pitch this season.

San Diego Padres over 4.5 runs +110
On paper, this matchup doesn’t stand out as a must-target game. However, the Padres have appeal tonight against Yusei Kikuchi and a struggling Angels bullpen. Kikuchi primarily throws a four-seam fastball and slider, which account for 78% of his pitches. The Padres have a .358 wOBA and .194 ISO against four-seam fastballs and a .380 wOBA with a .216 ISO against sliders. Once Kikuchi exits, the Angels’ shaky bullpen takes over—one of the league’s worst, with a 6.94 ERA, 5.31 FIP, and 1.8 HR/9. Given this matchup, the Padres are a sneaky pick as a top-scoring team in tonight’s King of the Diamond promotion on DraftKings Sportsbook.
