The Boston Celtics built a 20-point lead on the New York Knicks for the third game in a row in this series. This time, they held it. It was an end-to-end victory for the Celtics in a must-win contest at Madison Square Garden, pulling off a 115-93 win.
Jayson Tatum ($9,400, 48.75 FPTS) rebounded well from his rough end to Game 2, recording 22 points in addition to nine rebounds and seven assists. Jaylen Brown ($7,100, 38 FPTS) was a solid Robin to Tatum’s Batman with 19 points, six rebounds and five assists. It was a massive night for Payton Pritchard ($4,400, 35.5 FPTS), who led Boston in scoring with 23 points. The Sixth Man of the Year was crucial to building their 25-point first half lead.
For the Knicks, the star duo of Jalen Brunson ($8,000, 44 FPTS) and Karl-Anthony Towns ($7,400, 41.25 FPTS) performed as usual. Brunson recorded 27 points, four rebounds and seven assists, while Towns double-doubled again with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Unfortunately for New York, nobody else could get it going. The other 10 Knicks that played combined for only 45 points. They’ll certainly need to perform better in order to avoid giving control of the series back to Boston.
Game 4 will be played in New York on Monday at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Celtics open as 6.5-point road favorites, and the game total is set at 208.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.
