All 30 teams will take the field for Saturday’s loaded 15-game MLB slate. Among the matchups fans should keep an eye on, playoff contenders will meet when the Guardians host the Phillies. Elsewhere, National League division leaders face off in Queens when the Cubs visit the Mets. Before the start of this evening’s contests, here are three MLB bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Guardians ML (+105)
After their division-winning 2024 campaign, Cleveland has started off strong. The Guardians, 23-15, owns the American League’s second-best record, carried by superstar third baseman Jose Ramirez (125 wRC+) and All-Star Steven Kwan (149 wRC+). Tonight, they’ll send Tanner Bibee to the mound, an inconsistent (but talented) pitcher. After a rocky first month, the right-hander has begun to turn things around. Over Bibee’s last 18.0 innings of work, he’s notched a 2.50 ERA.
For the visitors, Ranger Suarez will get the nod. The veteran made his first start of the season last Sunday, after being sidelined due to a back injury. It was a tough outing for the former All-Star, who coughed up seven runs over 3.2 innings pitched. An experienced, persistent Guardians lineup could prove difficult; Cleveland’s hitters have recorded the fourth-fewest strikeouts since 2024. If Suarez is forced to exit Saturday’s contest early, a battle of the bullpens clearly favors the Guardians.
Royals ML (-118)
No team in baseball is playing better than the Royals, winners in 16 of their last 20 outings. The opposite is true of the Red Sox, who have dropped six of their previous nine games. That’s without mentioning the latest Rafael Devers drama, in which the slugger is refusing to play first base. The vibes are not great in Beantown, even more so following Friday’s 2-1 extra-innings loss vs. Kansas City.
Boston will hope to break out of its slump with staff ace Garrett Crochet on the mound. It’s been a phenomenal start for the hurler, owner of a 2.02 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over eight outings. However, the Royals will counter with an All-Star of their own, Cole Ragans. In three career meetings with the Red Sox, the righty has allowed three earned runs over 20.0 innings (1.35 ERA). In a battle between two elite arms, back the home team on a hot streak.
White Sox ML (-110)
That’s right; it’s an all-AL Central best bets. While the first two selections make sense, this might be the first (and last time) Chicago is on this list. Pope Leo’s favorite team hasn’t been very blessed recently. In 2025, the South Siders own an atrocious 11-28 record. Fortunately for the White Sox, tonight’s opponent isn’t much better. The Marlins are last in the NL East, making this a battle between two of baseball’s biggest cellar dwellers.
One of the few bright spots for the Sox has been tonight’s starter, Shane Smith. The 25-year-old has allowed two runs or less in six of his seven outings this season. In comparison, Miami has an on-base percentage of .283 over the past two weeks, the third-lowest mark in baseball. The Marlins will send erratic hurler Edward Cabrera to the mound on Saturday. Despite owning swing-and-miss stuff, the fifth-year pro has a serious lack of command (1.69 WHIP). Chicago, after winning Friday’s contest, has a good chance at making it two straight with their best arm toeing the slab.
