It’s been a rough PR stretch for new UNC football coach Bill Belichick. But the drama may just be getting started in Chapel Hill.
On the latest episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out, Pablo Torre reports that two UNC sources have told him that Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson, who has come under increasing scrutiny since her role in a controversial CBS Sunday Morning interview last month, is no longer welcome in the Tar Heels locker room, on the sidelines or in the football facility. In fact, a UNC source told Torre they “don’t think you’ll be hearing much from Jordon moving forward.”

Torre said the decision was reportedly made last week by higher-ups in the UNC athletic department. After noting the flippant nature of the anonymous comment, Katie Nolan said it feels like this is what is done with a distraction and that a team is within its rights to do that when it comes to external distractions. Furthermore, a Belichick family source told Torre there is “deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation — everything he has built and worked for over decades.”
Despite all the off-the-field drama, UNC’s win total is still set at 7.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the over currently favored at -120. The Tar Heels open their 2025 season at home on September 1 against TCU after closing out 2024 with a loss to UConn in the Fenway Bowl to finish with a 6-7 record.

UPDATE: For what it’s worth, North Carolina has released a statement denying that Hudson has been banned, noting that while she’s not a university employee, she is still welcome at UNC’s football facilities.

Torre responded with his own post on X, noting that the show requested comment and filed FOIA requests prior to the episode’s publication that were not satisfied. He noted that the show stands by its reporting.
