NBA Best Bets: Thunder vs. Nuggets Player Props for Game 3

Updated:

By: Zach Thompson

On Friday night, the Thunder and the Nuggets clash in Game 3 of their second-round series. The Nuggets stole Game 1 in Oklahoma City but the Thunder stormed back in Game 2 to even things up coming into Friday’s huge Game 3. For what should be an awesome matchup, let’s take a look at my Thunder vs. Nuggets best bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Overall in the matchup, the Thunder are 5.5-point road favorites with the total set at O/U 232.5 points. The injury report for both teams indicates they’ll have their regular rotations available.

Thunder vs. Nuggets best prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Jalen Williams 6+ Assists (+120)

Taking Williams over his 4.5 assist line is -154, which is a much safer play, but I’m willing to be a little aggressive and take him to get at least six assists to get a plus-money pick to start off my Thunder vs. Nuggets best bets.

Williams had seven assists in Game 2 in just 26 minutes and has at least six assists in four of the last five head-to-head matchups between these two teams. He had at least five assists in all four of the Thunder’s wins over the Grizzlies in Round 1 before slipping to just four assists in the team’s Game 1 setback against Denver.

On the season, Williams averaged 5.1 assists per game and 5.5 assists in his 35 road games. With a few more minutes coming his way if the game stays close, I think he’ll be able to get over this player prop line on Friday night in Game 3.

Jamal Murray Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+124)

Murray is a proven playoff performer, especially late in the series, but he should be fully engaged and able to get over this prop in Game 3. He hit three three-pointers in just 31 minutes in Game 2 and came up just short in Game 1 with two three-pointers. The opportunities were definitely there in Game 1, though, and it’s actually an encouraging sign that he took seven three-point attempts.

He oddly had no three-pointers in Game 7 against the Clippers but went over this line with at least three three-pointers in the first three home games of the series. In his 76 regular and postseason games, he averaged 2.4 three-pointers per contest, but that number jumps to 2.7 three-pointers in home games.

Murray has made three or more three-pointers in seven of his last eight home games with the Nuggets as underdogs vs. a Western Conference opponent.

Russell Westbrook 15+ Points (+110)

Westbrook has been a bigger part of interim coach David Adelman’s rotation in the postseason. He left Game 3 of the last series with foot inflammation and missed Game 4, but has looked healthy and played big minutes since returning.

Not counting the game he left after playing just nine minutes due to that injury, He has scored at least 14 points in nine straight games dating back to the regular season.

He had 18 points in Game 1 and 19 points in Game 2, even though he only played 22 minutes. Those two games gave him at least 17 points in each of his last four playoff games against the Thunder.

Westbrook also has at least 15 points in five of his seven healthy games in the playoffs, and getting him at plus money to get at least 15 points in Game 3 is one of my three Thunder vs. Nuggets best bets for Friday.
