It’s Friday. That means all 30 MLB teams are in action for a huge night of baseball goodness.

That also means there’s thousands of bets to make on the DraftKings Sportsbook. That’s too many for a the brain to fully comprehend, so allow me to simply present you with a couple of my favorites.

Milwaukee Brewers at Tampa Bay Rays

Under 9.5 (-120)

I feel pretty strongly about this one. So strongly, that I’d honestly consider an alternate total of 8.5, where the under pays out at +118. Yes, George M. Steinbrenner Field has played like a hitter’s park in 2025 — as we all expected — but despite that, the Rays are just 11-12-2 to the over this season at home. No matter where the fences are, people still need to have the ability to actually hit the ball. That is not something I have much faith that either of these lineups can do with any level of consistency.

Let’s start with Tampa. While the Rays do attempt to utilize platoon advantages, this is a roster that leans lefty-heavy, which means it’s had much more success against RHPs than LHPs so far in 2025. In fact, it’s not even close. Tampa is hitting .264 with a 110 wRC+ off right-handers. Versus southpaws? The Rays are batting below the Mendoza line (.197) with a .090 ISO and a 70 wRC+. Jose Quintana, a left-hander with a 2.83 ERA, will take the mound for the Brewers this evening. That seems relevant.

As for Milwaukee’s bats, not a lot has been going right for the team in the past couple of weeks. Specific to the last 14 days, the Brewers own a .097 ISO and a 76 wRC+ that ranks as the fourth-lowest mark in baseball during that span. Zack Littell isn’t exactly Cy Young, but he’s solid enough where I think he’ll continue to keep this struggling lineup in check.

Philadelphia Phillies at Cleveland Guardians

Gavin Williams 3+ Walks Allowed (+105)

It would be an understatement to suggest that Gavin Williams is having command issues so far in 2025. The right-hander has walked multiple opponents in six straight starts entering play on Friday, a stretch of time where Williams is walking 6.00 batters per nine and where his 14.2% walk rate is the fifth-highest mark in MLB among pitchers with at least 20 innings thrown. The 25-year-old might be able to hit 100 mph, but he surely does not know where it’s going at this point.

That makes this matchup with the Phillies quite the challenge, as Philadelphia comes into tonight’s action as one of the four clubs in baseball with a team walk rate of at least 10.0%, joining the Mariners, Diamondbacks and Yankees. There’s truly a non-zero chance that Kyle Schwarber draws all three of these free passes by himself.
