Dylan Cease ($8,000) was marvelous for six innings Wednesday in New York, walking two batters without allowing a hit while striking out nine. In the seventh inning, the no-hitter was eliminated after Cody Bellinger ($4,400) put an 0-2 pitch into the right field seats to tie the game at 1-1. It was the 86th pitch of the night for Cease.
Cease then struck out Anthony Volpe ($4,500) on three pitches, but was removed one pitch later due to an injury. There has been no official designation, but it looks to be something with his throwing arm.
