Kevin Cash said Yandy Diaz’s back hip tightened up, which is why he left tonight’s game, but seems he avoided a scare. “Hopeful he’ll be in there tomorrow.”

The injury is unknown, but it’s believed to be a lower-body injury. He hit a two-run home run in his previous at-bat in the bottom of the fourth.
Christopher Morel replaced Diaz as the team’s designated hitter.
