After trailing for most of Tuesday night’s Game 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Indiana Pacers stole another win on a thrilling game-winning shot to take a 2-0 series lead.

Trailing by two points with 11 seconds remaining, star point guard Tyrese Haliburton pulled down a rebound in the paint, dribbled out to the perimeter, and sized up Ty Jerome before draining a step-back three-pointer to secure the victory with a shade over one second left on the clock.

The Cavaliers’ largest lead of the game was 20 points but Indiana battled back over the second half and cut the lead to two in the final moments. The last-second prayer left the home crowd in Cleveland stunned — you could almost hear a pin drop as the Pacers celebrated the game-changing shot.

Haliburton finished the game with 19 points, nine rebounds, and four assists while converting seven of his 11 shots from the field and both of his three-point attempts. The young floor general’s heroics will most certainly go down in the Pacers’ history books, especially after he hit another game-winning shot with one second remaining to eliminate the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5 of the opening round.

Now, the Pacers head back home to Indiana with a commanding 2-0 series lead in this Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup. As of Game 2’s end, home teams are now 0-4 in the second round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, a trend Haliburton and Co. look to break during Friday’s Game 3.
