NBA No-Sweat Bet Today, 5/6/25

On Tuesdays throughout the entirety of the NBA Playoffs, the DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a weekly No-Sweat betting promotion for users. What does that mean? Well, if you place a same-game parlay (SGPx) on tonight or tomorrow or even Saturday’s action on the hardcourt and it loses, don’t fret! You’ll receive a bonus bet for your trouble.

That doesn’t mean we’re out here actively trying to place bad bets — but maaaaaybe we get a little more risky than usual. Still, we want winners and I’m here to help. In this article, I’ll give out a couple betting options I like for a possible SGPx in tonight’s Game 1 between the Warriors and the Timberwolves.

Sound good? Good. Let’s dig in.

NBA No-Sweat Same-Game Parlay Legs

  • Buddy Hield 10+ Points (-115)
  • Rudy Gobert 10+ Rebounds (-185)
  • Under 210 (-112)

SGPx Odds: +425

Let’s start with Buddy Hield, who is directly on the heels of dropping 33 points for the Warriors in their Game 7 victory over the Rockets. It would be silly to expect a similar performance out of the former lottery pick on Tuesday night in Minnesota, yet Hield has been pretty consistent when getting a reasonable opportunity to shine so far in the postseason. Simply put, when he’s logged at least 20 minutes of action, he’s managed double-digit points in every contest, averaging 21.7 points per game. Hield now appears to be a mainstay in Golden State’s starting five. Even as a starter, the veteran wing’s minutes have been inconsistent, but I’d expect his leash to be quite long after his spectacular showing on Sunday.

While Hield is getting the chance to start due to his scoring upside, the decision does have repercussions. Most notably, the Warriors played a majority of their series with Houston incredibly undersized, which led to Golden State entering tonight’s action with a 46.4% total rebounding rate in the postseason — the lowest mark of all 16 teams invited to the dance. It’s why Steven Adams had such a profound impact in the first-round, and it’s why I’m envisioning Rudy Gobert dominating the glass in Game 1. We saw Gobert take advantage of a nearly identical situation in Game 5 versus the Lakers, when the Frenchman grabbed an eye-popping 24 rebounds in 38.6 minutes of action against a Los Angeles roster that lacked a true center. Gobert was also one of 10 qualified players to average more than 10.0 rebounds per game during the regular season (10.9).

More Gobert should also mean a better overall defensive effort from the Timberwolves, not that they often lack in that department. Minnesota finished 2024-25 with the league’s sixth-best defensive rating, allowing only 110.8 opponent points per 100 possessions. Golden State wound up just behind the Wolves in seventh (111.0), thanks primarily to a late defensive push after the All-Star break with Jimmy Butler now in the mix. It’s a new series, and it could unfold in surprising ways, but both these squads played at a glacial pace in the first-round, averaging fewer that 94 possessions per 48 minutes. Anticipate the same style of play in the second-round, which should translate into a low-scoring contest between two solid defensive teams.
