Julius Randle and the Timberwolves shocked everyone in the first round, defeating the Lakers in five games. Now, they get another seasoned playoff team in the Golden State Warriors. Can Randle and company make it to the Western Conference Finals?
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Timberwolves are 6.5-point favorites for Game 1, with the total set at 210. Randle’s points total is 19.5, his rebounding total is 6.5, while his assist total is 4.5. Below is my favorite prop bet for Julius Randle in Tuesday’s matchup.
Best Julius Randle prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Randle asserted himself as the clear second option behind Anthony Edwards in the first round, averaging 22.6 points per game in the Lakers series. His rebounding average was 4.4 per game, while he averaged 5.2 rebounds per game. He averaged the second-most minutes per game in the series, only trailing Ant-Man in that category.
The Timberwolves are going to rely on him for another big performance as the second option on the team, so he should continue to get plenty of opportunities once again in this series.
Randle’s 19.5 points total seems too low for the volume he should get in this game, which is why I am taking his over 19.5 points at -120 odds. Randle averaged 15.8 attempts per game in the first round, and that kind of volume should continue against Golden State. If he gets that many attempts, it would take an abysmal shooting night not to reach the over.
Not only has he been getting volume, but Randle has been effective in the postseason. He is shooting 48.1% from the field and 39.3% from three-point range.
In the five games against Los Angeles, he went over his 19.5-point total four times.
