NBA Best Bets: Pacers vs. Cavaliers Player Props for Game 2

Published:

By: Zach Thompson

On Tuesday, the Cavaliers host the Pacers in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference series. After the Cavs crushed the Heat in the first round, the Pacers stole Game 1 of this series, setting up a great second-round series the rest of the way. For what should be a fascinating Game 2, let’s take a look at my Pacers vs. Cavaliers best bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.

In the bigger picture, the Cavs are 7.5-point home favorites with the total set at 229 points. The Cavaliers have some key players on the injury report with Darius Garland (toe), De’Andre Hunter (thumb) and Evan Mobley (ankle) all questionable. Be sure to check back on their availability and adjust accordingly before tip-off.

Pacers vs. Cavaliers best prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Andrew Nembhard over 1.5 three-pointers (+124)

Nembhard has stepped up in a big way for the Pacers in the postseason, and I love getting the over on his three-pointers at plus-money.

Nembhard averaged 0.8 three-pointers per game in his 65 regular-season games, but did attempt 2.7 three-pointers per game. In the postseason, he has caught fire from long range, making at least three three-pointers in four of his last five games and an average of 2.7 per game in his six postseason games overall.

He should have the confidence to keep shooting in Game 2, and the Cavaliers are sure to come out strong, forcing the Pacers to score quickly to try and keep up. Nembhard has had stretches of high-scoring games in his career, and this one has come at an ideal time for the Pacers.

Donovan Mitchell 30+ Points (-125)

Especially if any of the injured Cavaliers are out or limited, Mitchell will have to step up with a huge game on Tuesday night as the Cavs try to avoid going down 0-2 in the series. He had 33 points in Game 1, but struggled shooting, going 13-for-30 from the field and just 1-for-11 on three-point attempts.

The fact that he still got to 30 points despite those issues shows how high his floor is and how good of a chance he has to hit this mark as one of my top bets in this contest.

Mitchell has at least 30 points in each of his last five home playoff games and is averaging 28.3 points per game over the last two years while leading the Cavs to a 9-6 playoff record.

Tyrese Haliburton over 10.5 assists (+114)

Haliburton has at least 12 assists in four of his last five games in Cleveland. He had 13 assists in Game 1 and has gone over this line in four of his six games this postseason.

He’s operating the Pacers’ offense at a very high level right now. At the end of the regular season, he had at least 11 assists in seven of his final 12 games. Overall, that means that he has gone over this line in 11 of his last 18 starts (61%).

Getting this line at plus-money is a good way to back Hali’s assists, especially since Hali to post a double-double is only -150.
