There’s some notable pitchers taking the mound in tonight’s 12-game MLB featured slate on DraftKings. In fact, with Paul Skenes ($10,000), Zack Wheeler ($9,700) and Chris Sale ($8,800) all taking the mound on Tuesday, this slate includes all three finalists for NL Cy Young in 2024. That’s not too shabby.

SP Chris Sale, Atlanta Braves vs. Cincinnati Reds, $8,800
Sale didn’t look like himself in his first few outings in 2025, it just took a trip to Coors Field to get him back on track. I know. Don’t overthink it. On April 30, across seven innings of work, Sale allowed just two earned runs and struck out 10, posting a season-high 28.8 FPTS. In all actuality, Sale’s been fine the whole time, he’s simply been a little unlucky. The left-hander’s 3.31 xERA is far more in line with what we’re used to seeing from the veteran and a 29.3% strikeout rate and 14.0% swinging strike rate remain elite. Sale’s just been crushed by a .383 opponent BABIP.
Expect Sale to produce another quality performance on Tuesday in a matchup with the struggling Reds. Cincinnati owns a paltry .128 ISO and 89 wRC+ across the past two weeks and, crucially, this contest isn’t taking place at the always hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park. Sale shouldn’t be priced below $9,000. It’s that simple. Take advantage of this buying window.
OF Byron Buxton, Minnesota Twins vs. Baltimore Orioles, $5,000
Buxton comes into this slate red-hot, slashing .325/.364/.525 over his last 10 games. The Twins haven’t faced many left-handed pitchers in 2025, but when they have, Buxton’s also produced within that split, hitting .364 with a pair of home runs and a triple in only 22 plate appearances. As always, Buxton’s viability is as simple as his health status. The 31-year-old currently looks spry — and he’s on pace to steal a lot of bases — so you might as well get him in some lineups before the inevitable happens.
Cade Povich ($5,000) is a large reason as to why tonight is specifically the night to do that. No Baltimore starter is having a good start to their campaign, but it’s been especially awful for Povich. The southpaw comes into Tuesday in possession of a 5.16 ERA and a 6.08 xERA. He’s also surrendering 2.49 home runs per nine to opposing RHBs. That’s a massive red flag.
OF Tyler Soderstrom, Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners, $4,800
Soderstrom hasn’t hit a home run since April 17, but don’t forget about the Athletics’ slugger. You still want to be investing in Soderstrom as much as you can against right-handed pitching, as the 23-year-old is slashing .284/.368/.549 with a .265 ISO and a 161 wRC+. Soderstrom also still ranks in the 87th percentile or better in barrel rate (15.4%), expected batting average (.300) and expected wOBA (.390). He’s really good.
The RHP in question on Tuesday? Emerson Hancock ($7,000), who sports a 6.62 ERA in the four starts he’s made at the MLB level for Seattle so far in 2025. These aren’t isolated struggles, either. For his career, Hancock owns a 5.08 ERA and a 5.23 FIP across 19 starts. It’s just never worked in the big leagues for the former sixth-overall pick.
