After beating the Los Angeles Lakers in five games, the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Golden State Warriors tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET in the opening game of the Western Conference semifinals. The Warriors are 3-1 this season against the Wolves.

Jimmy Butler has a history with the Timberwolves, having played in Minnesota from 2017 to 2019. The other player who has a background with the opposing team is Edwards. Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr famously said before the 2020 NBA Draft that if they had the No. 1 pick, Edwards wouldn’t be their choice. Edwards has played the Warriors 17 times but hasn’t had the chance to match up with them in the postseason.
Edwards’ total for points is 28.5, and with his inconsistent scoring, let’s look at a different area. In the first round series against the Lakers, Edwards made four or more three-pointers in three of five games. Although he finished a poor 0-11 from deep in Game 5, it is improbable that he repeats that performance. Throughout the season, Edwards’ three-point attempts have increased. He has attempted 10 or more in three straight games and 12 of 15.
