Yordan Alvarez was scratched from the lineup before Saturday’s game vs. the White Sox. He then missed Sunday’s game and, as of Monday, has been placed on the 10-day IL.
There is no mention of when the injury occurred or the extent of it. Alvarez has 21 hits, 18 RBI’s and three homeruns on the season. Hopefully for Astros fans, he will be back out there in no time. César Salazar has been called up from Triple-A to take his spot on the roster for now.
