Jake Irvin is taking the mound for the Nationals, and he’s struggled against left-handed batters, who have posted a .367 wOBA, a 5.38 FIP, and six of the eight home runs he’s allowed. The Guardians’ lineup is loaded with lefties and will likely start eight tonight. Irvin’s 4.01 ERA is mediocre, but his 5.10 xERA reveals his true struggles. Given how well lefties hit against him, I expect the Guardians to rack up bases.”

Matt Olson over 1.5 H/R/RBI -105
I don’t think the Braves are getting enough attention tonight against Brady Singer. Singer performed exceptionally well in April, but he faced a relatively easy schedule. The Braves represent his toughest matchup yet, as they excel against sinkers. Singer has been throwing his sinker 42% of the time, facing a Braves lineup with a .364 wOBA and .176 ISO against that pitch. Since last season, Matt Olson has been among the Braves’ best against sinkers, posting a .415 wOBA and .292 ISO. If the Braves hit Singer as I expect, Olson is well-positioned to exceed 1.5 H/R/RBI.
Dodgers team total over 2.5 runs through first five innings -125
2025 Sandy Alcantara is not the same as the 2022 Sandy Alcantara. In 2022, Alcantara was a legitimate Cy Young award candidate. Now, he’s struggling to log a quality start. Alcantara has a putrid 8.31 ERA with an xERA of 6.37 and a 5.57 FIP. Through six starts, Alcantara has allowed at least two runs in all of them and has pitched no more than five innings in four of them. WIth the way he’s been throwing, I’d be shocked if the Dodgers weren’t able to tag him for at least three runs.
