Mariners OF Randy Arozarena status for Monday 5/5/25 vs. Athletics

Randy Arozarena tweaked him hamstring after hitting a single to left in the sixth inning of Sunday’s game against the Texas Rangers. He was able to run to first base and made the turn towards second, but then grabbed the back of his leg as he walked back to first base.

The injury doesn’t sound serious, but Arozarena is not in the lineup for Monday’s game.

Miles Mastrobuoni ($2,300) will replace Arozarena in left field and bat sixth in the order. Mastrobuoni has accrued 65 plate appearances this season and slashed .218/.317/.236. The plate discipline has been excellent with a 12.3% walk rate and 10.8% strikeout rate, but he has little to know power. The ISO is .018 this season and Mastrobuoni has a career .040 ISO.

Arozarena does expect to be back in the lineup on Tuesday.
