The Warriors and Rockets are going head-to-head in a win-or-go home Game 7 in Houston Sunday, with the winner advancing to the Western Conference semifinals to face the Timberwolves.
Below, I dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Sunday’s Game 7 between the Warriors and the Rockets on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Warriors vs. Rockets Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jalen Green U 15.5 Points (-120)
While this scoring line for Green keeps decreasing each game, 15.5 points is still too high for the guard against the Warriors. Green has faced Golden State 11 times this season and he is only averaging 13.5 PPG in this matchup. Green has stayed under 15.5 points in nine of these 11 tilts and he is shooting a miserable 34% from the field against the Warriors. This elite Golden State defense that leads the league in the rating since the All-Star break knows exactly how to shut down Green and the guard flipping the script in Game 7 is extremely unlikely.
This do-or-die matchup is likely to be low scoring with both teams elevating their defensive intensity and this will be Green’s first time competing in a Game 7. The shooting guard should have another quiet performance and Green is a must-bet for this under.
Jimmy Butler O 37.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-105)
“Playoff Jimmy” is notorious for stepping up his game in the biggest moments and Butler shouldn’t disappoint in this Game 7. Excluding Game 2, when the forward exited after only seven minutes due to a pelvis contusion, Butler has cleared 37.5 PRA in three of his four starts in this series vs. the Rockets. Again, when excluding Game 2, Butler is averaging 37.6 PRA per game in his last eight starts and he has exceeded 37.5 PRA in six of these eight contests.
Since joining the Warriors at the deadline in February, Butler is handling a 21.9% usage rate and a 27.4% assist percentage. The veteran should see nothing less than 40 minutes in Game 7 and is awesome bet for over 37.5 PRA. The last time Butler competed in a Game 7 came two years ago against the Celtics and the veteran rose to the occasion with 29 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Buddy Hield U 6.5 Points (-110)
Hield has fell short of 6.5 points in four of these six games against the Rockets in this series and the guard’s role in Game 6 was concerning. Despite this tilt being a competitive affair in which players like Butler and Stephen Curry saw over 40 minutes for the Warriors, Hield only logged 16.3 minutes and attempted four shots with a low 12.3% usage rate. While Hield started, Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody and Quinten Post all saw more minutes off the bench.
Podziesmki moved to the bench for this game, which is the only time he hasn’t started in this series and given Golden State lost Game 6, Podziemski moving back into the starting five for Game 7 feels likely. He will either replace Gary Payton II or Hield, and the latter is the more likely candidate, given Hield’s recent struggles and that Payton is an elite defender, who has a done a terrific job on Green in this series. All in all, Hield shouldn’t see much playing time in this Game 7 and is a great bet for under 6.5 points.
