Sovereignty won the 2025 Kentucky Derby and had 9/1 odds before the race began. William I. Mott is Sovereignty’s trainer. Sovereignty had the third-best odds to win the 2025 Kentucky Derby. The favorite was journalism, finishing second at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
