The second of three significant boxing events this weekend features an Undisputed Super Middleweight Title fight between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs William Scull. Alvarez is on a five-fight winning streak since losing to Dmitrii Bivol in May 2022. Canelo will face Scull in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Scull is the reigning IBF Super Middleweight Champion and has an undefeated record of 23-0.
In February, Canelo signed a historic $400 million, five-fight deal with Turki Al-Sheikh. According to Sportskeeda, Canelo is expected to earn $80 million in his first bout of the contract. This is Canelo’s first fight in his career to take place outside the United States and Mexico. Canelo’s previous three fights have taken place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also, six of Canelo’s last seven fights took place in Las Vegas.
Canelo is a massive -4000 favorite against Scull in this championship bout on DraftKings Sportsbook. Scull is a +1500 underdog in this bout. This fight with Canelo is the most significant opportunity of William Scull’s career. Scull will also make his debut in Saudi Arabia on Saturday. For this fight, Scull is set to earn at least $3 million, the most he has earned in his career so far.
