After a year on the sidelines, “King” Ryan Garcia is back! He will face Rolando “Rolly” Romero in the Main Event of The Ring’s Fatal Fury: Times Square boxing card. Garcia is 24-1 in his professional boxing career with 20 knockouts and is one of the biggest stars in boxing today. Romero is also one of boxing’s unique fighters. He is 16-2 with 13 knockouts and shares a familiar opponent with Garcia in Gervonta Davis. Davis finished both of them.
Garcia revealed after his fight against Devin Haney in April 2024 that he had profited $50 million. In his career, Garcia has established himself as one of the top PPV stars in the sport. In March, Garcia told Ak and Barak on Ring Champs that he is making around $20 million for his upcoming fight against Romero.
This is the biggest fight of Romero’s career and will be his most significant payday he’s ever received. Romero is expected to earn $5 to $5.5 million for Friday’s fight against Garcia. This event will be broadcast on DAZN PPV but will only feature a limited in-person audience. They didn’t sell tickets for this card; instead, it’s a VIP, invite-only event.
Garcia is the favorite in this bout at -900, as Romero is a +550 betting underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.
