NBA Playoff Best Bets: Knicks vs. Pistons Best Prop Bets for Game 6

Game 6 between the Knicks and the Pistons takes place in Detroit on Thursday. With New York leading this series 3-2, the Knicks can advance to Eastern Conference Semifinals with a win. If the Pistons win, there will be a Game 7 in New York on Saturday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Pistons are a 1.5-point favorite for Game 6 and this game carries a total of 212.5 points.

Below, I dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Thursday’s Game 6 between the Knicks and the Pistons on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Knicks vs. Pistons Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Cade Cunningham U 1.5 Made Three Pointers (-120)

Cunningham has focused on attacking the paint instead of shooting from outside in this series with the Knicks. Through the first five games, the guard is only averaging 1.0 made three pointers on 4.0 attempts per game, resulting in a low 25% from beyond the arc. Cunningham has only hit multiple three pointers in one of these five games and only 18.7% of his shots have been three pointers. Conversely, 81.3% of Cunningham’s field goals have been two pointers.

The guard clearly knows he has at his best when getting downhill and Cunningham should continue to attack the Knicks on drives and in the midrange in Game 6. As a result, Cunningham shouldn’t be overly active from downtown and backing him for under 1.5 made three pointers is a sharp call.

Jalen Duren O 12.5 Rebounds (-110)

Duren has been a monster on the glass in this series vs. the Knicks. The center just grabbed 14 rebounds in Tuesday’s Game 5 win for Detroit and he has now posted at least 13 rebounds in three of the last four games of this best of seven. Duren is logging 32.8 minutes per game in this series, which is a large upgrade from the 26.1 minutes per game in the regular season. With the increased playing time, Duren is averaging a huge 22.8 rebound chances per game, which leads the NBA during the playoffs.

Isaiah Stewart (knee) missing these last four games has solidified the big minutes for Duren. Stewart is questionable for Thursday’s Game 6 and feels unlikely to play, but even if the backup center suits up, it’s hard to imagine Stewart sees more than 10 minutes of work behind Duren, given the nagging knee injury. Duren should continue to see 30-35 minutes with the Pistons’ season on the line and he has a strong chance to surpass 12.5 rebounds with the heavy volume. In the last 10 games Duren has logged over 30 minutes, he is averaging 14.1 rebounds per game and he has exceed 12.5 rebounds in seven of these 10 contests.

Karl-Anthony Towns O 22.5 Points (-125)

Towns should bounce back in Game 6 after being held to 17 points in Game 5. The center has scored over 22.5 points in five of his eight matchups with the Pistons this season, and he has exceeded 22.5 points in seven of his past 10 starts.

In this series, Towns has been very efficient with his shot, shooting 50% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. With Jalen Brunson dealing with an ankle injury that clearly affected him in Game 5, the Knicks would be wise to feature Towns more in Game 6. Furthermore, the big man should get back to playing around 40 minutes, after he dealt with foul trouble in Game 5. 22.5 points is just too low for Towns in this pivotal tilt and backing him for this over is a must for Game 6.
