The Knicks are taking on the Pistons in Detroit on Thursday night. Here are the best player props to consider for Karl-Anthony Towns on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Karl-Anthony Towns Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

The Knicks are 1.5-point underdogs against the Pistons, with an o/u of 213.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are the latest lines for Towns on DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 23.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 three-pointers.

The Pistons are looking to force a Game 7 as they fight for their lives at home tonight. The Knicks have won both games in Detroit so far this series, but the Pistons snatched away Game 5 in New York to force this massive Game 6. It has been an up-and-down series for Karl-Anthony Towns so far, and the Knicks often go as he goes. In Game 1, Towns had an efficient performance, and the Knicks picked up the win. He then had a horrific performance in Game 2, where the Knicks lost at home. The Knicks emphasized getting the ball to Towns early and often in Games 3 and 4 after that Game 2 loss. The Knicks won both of those games in Detroit, with Towns averaging 29 PPG in the two wins. In Game 5, Towns had his worst shooting performance of the series so far, and the Knicks lost again. While Jalen Brunson is the star of this team and the leader on the floor, the pattern clearly shows that the Knicks’ performance as a team often hinges on the play of Towns.

Detroit doesn’t have an elite interior presence, which is another reason that Towns has a lot of pressure on his shoulders. The Pistons have two great perimeter defenders to cover Brunson, Dennis Schroder, and Ausar Thompson, with Cade Cunningham also helping out there. However, Towns is often being guarded by the much smaller Tobias Harris or by Jalen Duren, who is much less comfortable on the perimeter. So, when being guarded by Duren, Towns needs to pull him out of the paint, opening up the lane for others and looking for his three-point shot. When being guarded by Harris, he needs to take advantage of his size, play with his back to the basket and get to the rim. Unfortunately for Towns, the Pistons have done a great job of stopping that and being more physical than Towns.

My favorite Towns prop for this game is for him to go under 12.5 rebounds + assists. Towns has gone under this combination number in four straight games, only going over it in this series in Game 1. Towns has not been a distributor at all over the last four games, either having one or zero assists in each of those games. He has also only gotten double-digit rebounds in two of the five games so far this series. The Knicks have been a “rebounding by committee” team over the last few games, with Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby all registering at least five rebounds in Game 5. It should be more of the same in Game 6. Towns will need to be a scoring threat, which could keep the trend of lower rebounds and assists numbers going, causing him to go under this prop number.

Best Bet: Karl-Anthony Towns u12.5 Rebounds + Assists (+114)
