What happened to Mike Trout? Live injury update Thursday 5/29/25

UPDATE: Trout last played on April 30th and was put on the injured list. He is expected to return Friday against the Cleveland Guardians.

UPDATE: Trout felt soreness in his knee and was removed as a precaution, per manager Ron Washington.

In the 4th inning of Wednesday’s game vs. the Mariners, OF Mike Trout was removed from the game. There is no mention of what the issue is or if he is injured. Jo Adell stepped in to pinch-hit in his absence. Before exiting, Trout had two at-bats, recording one hit.

On the season, he has been doing Mike Trout-type things, recording 18 hits, 18 RBI’s and nine home runs. Angels fans will be hoping that this is not a long-term issue with Trout, whatever the issue may be.
