All 15 teams are in action on Wednesday, yet this article will be focusing on DraftKings’ nine-game MLB DFS slate, which locks at 6:35 p.m. ET.

SP Drew Rasmussen, Tampa Bay Rays vs. Kansas City Royals, $8,800
Rasmussen was not great in his last outing, but his overall numbers in 2025 remain pristine. Across five starts and 25.2 innings of work, the veteran right-hander is in possession of a 2.10 ERA and a 2.30 FIP. Rasmussen also sports a 27.8% strikeout rate and a 4.50 K/BB ratio. It’s all you could ask from a man returning from multiple arm injuries and, on a slate without much elite pitching talent, Rasmussen seems like a steal with a price tag below $9,000.
The other aspect of his viability on Wednesday is an absolute dream matchup. The Royals simply can not hit. Kansas City did little to improve their lineup after a surprising run to the postseason in 2024, and now it is paying the consequences. The Royals enter this game ranking dead-last in MLB in both ISO (.099) and wOBA (.275). To its credit, Kansas City doesn’t strikeout all that much, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say for the organization at this point.
OF Aaron Judge, New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles, $6,300
This is one of those slates where you’re going to just have to find the money for Judge. There’s no pivot here. It sounds insane to say this about a man with multiple MVP awards and a 62 home run campaign already under his belt, but Judge might be in the midst of his greatest season to date. Coming into the final day of April, Judge ranks in the 100th percentile in both expected wOBA (.492) and expected slugging percentage (.742). We don’t even have to use fancy stats. The man is hitting .412 with nine long balls in his first 30 games of 2025.
On Wednesday, Judge and the rest of the Yankees will draw the left-handed Cade Povich ($5,500). Like many struggling southpaws, opposite-hand matchups have been the biggest reason for Povich’s inflated 5.32 xERA so far this season. To wit, RHBs are slashing .366/.416/.573 with a .431 wOBA off the 25-year-old. That’s a massive red flag in general, but it’s the largest red flag in the world when facing Judge, who owns an MLB-high .603 expected wOBA specifically against lefties. This could get ugly.
1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox, $4,900
Guerrero has been among the most unlucky players in baseball this season. It’s not that the All-Star is having an awful start to 2025 — he’s slashing .271/.368/.411 with a 128 wRC+ — but Vlad’s numbers haven’t been close to the elite level where they were at in 2024. At least, not on the surface. Guerrero posted a .408 expected wOBA last season. This year, that figure is once again exactly .408 through 125 plate appearances, which ranks in the 92nd percentile of the league.
Well, after taking the left-handed Gerrit Crochet deep on Tuesday, Guerrero will get another crack at going yard on Wednesday. Lucas Giolito ($7,500) will make his first start since 2023 in Toronto. However, the veteran has not looked amazing in his rehab appearances. In fact, in three starts in Triple-A, Giolito has produced more walks (10) than strikeouts (9). That’s not going to cut it at the next level. Guerrero’s price tag won’t be under $5,000 forever, so tonight seems like a good time to utilize the $500 million man.
