Golf Best Bets: Make Cut Parlay for THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson

THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson is being played at TPC Craig Ranch (par 71, 7,569 yards, bentgrass greens) in McKinney, Texas, this week. This is the fifth consecutive year TPC Craig Ranch has hosted THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and for this week, there will be 156 players competing and a standard top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

Below, I have featured a make-cut parlay to consider for THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson on the DraftKings Sportsbook.

Patrick Rodgers (-175) + Henrik Norlander (-175) + Joel Dahmen (-165) to make the cut

Rodgers has finished T47 and T32 in his two starts at TPC Craig Ranch, and he has been a reliable cut-maker this season, advancing to the weekend in 10 of his 13 starts. Rodgers finished T42 among the world class field at the RBC Heritage his last time out and he closed that Signature Event with a 6-under 65 on Sunday, which was one stroke shy of tying the lowest score of the final round. Looking to build off this, Rodgers should safely make the cut at TPC Craig Ranch this week.

Norlander has advanced to the weekend in two of his three starts at TPC Craig Ranch and the Swede returns to McKinney in compelling form. Paired with Luke List, Norlander finished T4 at the team-based Zurich Classic of New Orleans last week. Before this team event, Norlander had finished T16, MC and T12 in his previous three solo starts. The 38-year-old has made five of his last seven cuts and he has been one of the best ball strikers on the PGA TOUR this season, ranking third in SG APP. Three of the four winners at TPC Craig Ranch have finished the event top-three in SG APP and Norlander should absolutely find himself inside the cutline come Friday night.

Dahmen missed the cut at the Zurich Classic last week with Harry Higgs as his teammates, but on his own, Dahmen has made five of his last seven cuts, with his most recent solo finish being a runner-up at the Corales Puntacana Championship two weeks ago. Dahmen ranks 37th in SG APP this season and he also ranks ninth in proximity to the hole on approach shots from 200+ yards out, which is great news for TPC Craig Ranch, as 28.1% of approach shots at this track have come from 200+ yards out. Dahmen made the cut in his first attempt at TPC Craig Ranch with a T62 finish last season and he should finish even higher on the leaderboard this time around.
