With a chance to close out the series on the road, the Golden State Warriors will once again look to Stephen Curry to lead the charge.

Curry has averaged 26.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.3 rebounds through four games in the series. While Jimmy Butler carried much of the load in Game 4’s narrow 109-106 win, Curry continues to serve as Golden State’s stabilizer in pressure situations.
Coming off a 17-point performance in Game 4, he will surely look to deliver a bounce-back performance to set the tone for Golden State. He will need to be assertive again as the Warriors aim to avoid a return trip to San Francisco for Game 6.
Houston has struggled with consistency throughout the series, often showing its youth in clutch time. The Rockets have missed 35 free throws across four contests, and the Warriors have outscored Houston by a 15-point margin in the fourth quarter of games this series. Late in games is when Curry has historically thrived — using pace, poise, and unmatched shot-making to deliver timely buckets in closeouts. He could be poised to do it again.
Stephen Curry acknowledged the difficulty of closing a series on the road, especially against a desperate team. But he also laid out the mentality the Warriors must bring.
“You don’t want to mess around with the game,” Curry said. “You understand closeout games are extremely difficult … Be resilient, relentless. You got to be disciplined more so than anything. Doesn’t mean you have to play perfect. You don’t want to come in with that mentality. Oh, if we miss shots early, if they go on a run early, you don’t want to get it in your head. It’s a long game. I think that’s our biggest challenge.”
With Butler still recovering from a pelvic injury and the Warriors facing a hungry, if inexperienced, Rockets team, expect Curry to set the tone early and hunt his offense with urgency. If Golden State finishes the job in Houston, it’ll almost certainly be behind a strong scoring performance from No. 30.
