During Tuesday’s game against the Orioles, New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. exited after his first at-bat. Oswald Peraza replaced him. The injury was described as “right flank discomfort.”
Chisholm, 27, was grabbing at his side during his at-bat in the top of the first inning. He then smashed a ball down the right field line for an extra base hit. After sliding into third base, Chisholm continued to grab at his side and was removed from the game.
