The Boston Celtics roll on. With a 120-89 victory against the Magic on Tuesday night they advance to the conference semifinals. They’ll watch the Knicks-Pistons series with great interest to see who their opponent is.
Boston was led, as usual, by Jayson Tatum ($9,500, 64.5 FPTS). His emphatic 35/8/10 stat line was cold-blooded in his dispatching of the Magic. Jaylen Brown ($7,700, 35 FPTS) was a capable Robin to his Batman tonight with 23 points and six rebounds. Perhaps he can return to his Nightwing ways as he shakes off his knee injury. Al Horford ($5,200, 26.5 FPTS) also contributed with a 9/6/4/1/1 line.
Paolo Banchero ($9,200, 38.75 FPTS) struggled to get it going against a superb Boston defense. His 19 points and 12 rebounds would be great for most players, but it was below his lofty standards. Wendell Carter Jr. ($5,300, 31.5 FPTS) managed his second double-double in the last three contests. Orlando will be back to the drawing board this offseason, hoping for better health and looking for more offense.
Boston covered the -11.5 spread on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the game going over the 199.5 total. The Celtics will take their rest while the Knicks and Pistons continue their series on Thursday.
