It’s a busy night in the baseball world and it’s highlighted by a 10-game MLB featured DFS slate on DraftKings.
Who should you be looking to build your lineups around on Tuesday? Here are three of my top picks on the diamond for this evening’s action on the diamond.

SP Garrett Crochet, Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays, $10,500
While Crochet is on the heels of a somewhat disappointing outing last week against the Mariners, the left-hander still managed to register 15.3 FPTS in that contest thanks to nine strikeouts. That’s the nice part about paying up for someone of Crochet’s pedigree, even his worst starts are relatively salvageable. For the season as a whole, Crochet is maintaining a 1.95 ERA and a 2.25 FIP across six starts. He’s really been everything the Red Sox could have hoped for and more, as he’s struck out 29.7% of opponents and surrendered just a single home run over 37.0 innings.
That lone long ball was to George Springer ($4,500), but the veteran outfielder is the only Blue Jay bat hitting the ball with any consistency as of late. Across the past two weeks, Toronto is hitting only .207 as a team with a 71 wRC+ that ranks 28th in all of baseball. The return of Daulton Varsho ($4,000; shoulder) from the IL should help in the long run, yet not tonight in a tough left-on-left matchup. There’s no reason not to trust Crochet in this spot.
OF Jarren Duran, Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays, $5,200
Crochet needs some run support, right? Duran hasn’t been hitting for all that much power in 2025, but his numbers have improved across the board after a slow start to the season. In the immediate, Duran has seven hits in his last two games, which should be more than enough to get the attention of prospective owners on Tuesday. However, if you want to take it as far back as April 6, Duran is slashing .297/.360/.451 with a 129 wRC+ in 100 plate appearances. Toss in six stolen bases in that same span and you have a intriguing DFS asset.
Duran is of particular interest on this slate due to his handedness and his matchup. Bowden Francis ($7,300) takes the mound for Toronto this evening and his underlying numbers are screaming regression. Francis’ 3.58 ERA doesn’t look too bad, yet a 6.29 xERA and a 15th percentile barrel rate (12.5%) are quite worrisome. The RHP is allowing 2.81 home runs per nine to LHBs and Duran could easily add his name to that list at Rogers Centre.
3B/SS Jorge Polanco, Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles Angels, $4,300
I live my life by a couple of set-in-stone rules. One of those commandments happens to involve stacking against Jack Kochanowicz ($5,500) whenever I get the chance — which might not be much longer given how his last few starts have gone. Kochanowicz simply is not an MLB caliber starting pitcher. The 24-year-old comes into tonight’s tilt in Seattle in possession of a 5.47 ERA and a 5.69 FIP. The RHP has struck out only 11.4% of the opponents he’s faced so far in 2025, which is an issue considering he pairs his contact-inducing ways with an 11th percentile opponent average exit velocity (91.9) and a sixth percentile opponent expected batting average (.311).
Kochanowicz’s biggest red flag this season has been his complete inability to pitch effectively to LHBs. To wit, lefties have combined to hit 2.70 home runs per nine off Los Angeles’ RHP with a .566 slugging percentage. That really opens the door for someone like Polanco be to viable on this slate. The switch-hitter is almost exclusively batting as a left-hander in 2025 due to injury, yet he’s also slashing .377/.405/.739 with a 233 wRC+. So maybe that’s a positive. Who knows?
