A loaded 30-game, 15-team slate is on tap for Tuesday across Major League Baseball. Among the matchups to watch, AL East rivals meet when the Orioles host the division-leading Yankees. Elsewhere, the red-hot Mets hope to continue their success against the visiting Diamondbacks. As a nightcap, the Giants and Padres kick off an important two-game series in the NL West.

Aaron Judge less than 2.5 hits + runs + RBIs
For all his immense power, Aaron Judge’s contact skills have become underrated. The big man is still blasting homers, but his league-leading .405 batting average is nothing short of remarkable. Add on 28 RBIs, second-most in baseball, and you have one of the scariest hitters in the sport’s history. The outfielder has had success in this spot, launching 45 home runs over 108 career games against the Orioles.
As good as the two-time MVP has been, Tuesday’s matchup could prove difficult. Baltimore starter Kyle Gibson is set to take the mound for the first time this season following a back injury. The veteran has stymied Judge, holding the slugger to one hit over 12 career at-bats. Even if the All-Star records a few hits, there’s no guarantee he goes over this hits + runs + RBI total. Expect a quiet(er) performance from Judge tonight.
Mark Vientos more than 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs
The Mets are the talk of the town right now, leading baseball with a 20-9 record. Impressively, New York has gotten off to this start despite rostering several underperforming hitters. That includes Mark Vientos, who enjoyed a phenomenal 2024 campaign. It’s been a struggle this month; the 25-year-old is hitting just .214 with three home runs.
Fortunately for the Mets, Vientos has begun to turn things around. Over his last ten games, the third baseman is hitting .342 with three homers and ten RBIs. That includes a two-hit, four-run outing vs. the Nationals on Monday. Tonight, he’ll face Eduardo Rodriguez, Arizona’s erratic left-hander (4.40 ERA). On a loaded New York offense, Vientos should have some opportunities to drive in his teammates on Tuesday.
Freddy Peralta less than 1.5 earned runs allowed
Even with a slew of starters injured, the Brewers are still hovering around .500 this season (14-15). Milwaukee has managed to stay afloat due in large part to pitcher Freddy Peralta. The former All-Star has been at his best this season, posting a 2.43 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. On Tuesday, he’ll be treated to a dream matchup on the road vs. the White Sox.
At this point, even casual fans know how bad things are in Chicago. The South Siders, 7-21, are averaging just 3.39 runs per game this season, the fourth-lowest mark in baseball. Peralta owns a 1.50 ERA over four career starts against the White Sox. Considering how awful this lineup looks, there’s no reason to expect anything different tonight.
Michael Harris II more than 1.5 total bases
Despite their slow start, the Braves still possess one of baseball’s most talented lineups. Unfortunately for Atlanta, most have underperformed throughout April. That hasn’t been the case for Michael Harris II, one of the sport’s true five-tool players. Over his last ten games, the outfielder has hit .350 with a home run and nine RBIs.
No venue in baseball is more hitter-friendly than Colorado’s Coors Field. The Rockies will attempt to limit the scoring tonight by sending out veteran German Marquez. The former All-Star has been awful thus far, allowing 21 earned runs in 20.1 innings of work (9.30 ERA). A bounce-back start is likely, just not tonight vs. a loaded Atlanta offense. Harris II, a lefty hitter with some pop, is not an ideal matchup for the Venezuelan. Another busy evening on the base paths could be in store for the 24-year-old.
Bryce Miller more than 6.5 strikeouts thrown
The Mariners are built on a deep pitching staff stocked with standout arms. In this rotation filled with high-caliber hurlers, Bryce Miller may possess the best stuff of any Seattle starter. So far, the right-hander has had a disappointing first month of action (4.21 ERA). However, tonight’s AL West showdown is the perfect spot for a bounce-back.
There are a few bats worth mentioning for the Angels, but this is still a mediocre lineup at best. Los Angeles has had an especially hard time avoiding strikeouts, whiffing at the second-highest rate in baseball. Over 22.2 career innings pitched vs. the Halos, Miller has recorded 28 Ks. The 26-year-old is simply too talented to keep struggling; look for a return to form on Tuesday.
Logan Webb less than 5.5 strikeouts thrown
In today’s age of high velocity and shortened starts, Logan Webb is a true throwback. San Francisco’s ace doesn’t have wipeout stuff, but he’s a master of inducing weak contact. Therefore, it’s no coincidence he’s pitched more than anyone since 2022 (613.0 innings). What makes Webb valuable in real life also makes him someone fantasy managers should target…for better or worse.
The Giants will have their hands full on Tuesday when they take on a Padres squad with championship aspirations. Slowing down this group starts with keeping a star-studded lineup in check. Webb is usually up for the task, notching a 2.90 ERA over 14 career appearances vs. San Diego. However, he’s struck out less than six batters in each of his previous four meetings with the Padres. It doesn’t help that the Friars are only whiffing 6.71 times per game, the lowest rate in baseball. San Francisco’s All-Star will likely need to get his outs via ground ball in this one.
