NBA Playoff Best Bets: Celtics vs. Magic Best Prop Bets for Game 4

The Celtics and Magic are continuing their first-round series with Game 4 in Orlando. Currently, Boston leads this series 2-1. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Celtics are favored by 7.5 points for Game 4 and this contest carries a total of O/U 198 points.

Below, I dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Sunday’s Game 4 matchup between the Celtics and the Magic on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Celtics vs. Magic Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Jayson Tatum O 41.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

After missing Game 2 with a bone bruise in his wrist, Tatum returned in Game 3 and showed no signs of rust, posting 36 points, nine rebounds and four assists while shooting 46% from the field. Jrue Holiday missed this game and will remain out for Game 4, which is a boost for Tatum. In the 17 starts the forward has made without Holiday this season, he is averaging 27.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game, which equates to 43 PRA per game.

With Holiday off the floor this season, Tatum’s usage increases by 3.1 percentage points to 34.4% and his assist rate rises to 1.2 percentage points to 27.7%. Coming off the loss in Game 3, Tatum should see 40+ minutes in Game 4 and he should have no issues surpassing 40.5 PRA, which is just too low for the superstar in this situation.

Franz Wagner U 1.5 Made Three Pointers (+140)

Wagner went 3-of-13 on three pointers in Game 3, but this was a rare performance for the wing. The Magic are the worst three point shooting team in the NBA and Wagner is one of the main reasons why. The forward is a poor outside shooter who is shooting 24% from beyond the arc and is only averaging 1.7 made three pointers on 6.0 attempts per game this season.

Facing a Celtics team that is looking to bounce back after their frustrating loss in Game 3, Wagner should come back down to earth as an outside shooter in Game 4 and he is an appealing bet for under 1.5 made threes at this +140 price on DraftKings Sportsbook. This Boston defense that ranks fourth in rating this season is limiting their opponents to the third-lowest three point percentage and the sixth-fewest made three pointers per game.

Al Horford O 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)

With Holiday out, Horford will continue to start for the Celtics and with that role, the veteran is a terrific bet for over 17.5 PRA. When starting this season, Horford is averaging 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. The big man saw 34 minutes in Game 3 and Horford will see a similar workload in Game 4. When he has logged 30-35 minutes this season, Horford is averaging 11.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Horford is averaging 22 PRA per game for the last five occasions he has logged over 30 minutes and the savvy veteran should clear 17.5 PRA in Sunday’s pivotal Game 4, possibly with ease.
