Jrue Holiday Injury Update: Game 4 vs. the Magic on 4/27/25

The Celtics had their 2-0 lead cut in half on Friday night as they lost to the Magic, 95-93. While the Celtics had both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown available after each were listed questionable, they didn’t have starting point guard Jrue Holiday. Holiday will also miss Sunday’s Game 4 with the same injury.

Holiday averaged 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 steals, while playing 34.5 minutes per game in the first two contests of the series. During the regular season, he averaged 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 30.6 minutes in his 62 games.

Since he is day-to-day, he has a chance to return soon, but the hamstring will continue to be an issue he deals with and will cost him at least one more game. After Sunday’s game, the next games in the series are Game 5 on Tuesday, Game 6 on Thursday if necessary, and a potential Game 7 on Saturday.

Without Holiday on Friday, Jayson Tatum went off for a huge outing while Derrick White played 40 minutes and Payton Pritchard played 26 minutes off the bench. White and Pritchard will continue to see increased work on the defensive end without Holiday while Tatum carries more of the workload on offense.
