While every team is in action on Friday, DraftKings’ featured MLB slate is just 12 games, getting started in New York at Yankee Stadium at 7:05 p.m. ET.
There’s also a trio of Cy Young hopefuls at the top of tonight’s pitcher pricing list. Which one should you be building your lineups around? Who should you be stacking against? Here are my top three MLB DFS picks for tonight’s action on the diamond.

SP Logan Gilbert, Seattle Mariners vs. Miami Marlins, $10,200
The Marlins have actually been hitting well above expectation this season, led by the breakout of former Cubs’ prospect Matt Mervis ($3,400) and his seven home runs. In fact, across the past two weeks, Miami’s 112 wRC+ is a top 10 mark in all of baseball. That said, it’s a small sample, and I don’t think this collection of hitters has a chance to hit Gilbert on Friday night.
The right-handed has simply been one of the best pitchers in the world since the beginning of 2025. Don’t get me wrong, Gilbert has long been an All-Star caliber arm, but something’s different this season. Something has taken him to a new level. Gilbert comes into tonight’s outing in possession of a 38.0% strikeout rate — the highest qualified figure in MLB. Gilbert’s 18.1% swinging strike rate is also far and away the best mark in the league. When you have the ability to miss bats like that, you’re going to be a stud. Not only in real-life, but in DFS, as well.
2B Matt McLain, Cincinnati Reds at Colorado Rockies, $6,000
I’d be lying if I said McLain’s viability on this slate wasn’t directly tied to Coors Field, but there’s more to like about the former top prospect than just geography. While the infielder comes into tonight’s tilt with the Rockies hitting well below the Mendoza line (.180), that’s not a proper representation of his season to this point. McLain owns a 92nd percentile barrel rate (18.4%) and a 89th percentile hard hit rate (52.6%). That’s why his .367 expected wOBA is so much higher than his actual output.
He’ll also draw the left-handed Kyle Freeland ($5,000), who has surrendered at least five runs in two of his last three outings. It’s only a sample of 113 plate appearances, but for his career, McLain is slashing .311/.372/.621 with a 160 wRC+ off southpaws. At the very least, it’s enough of a sample for me to invest $6,000 on tonight’s slate.
1B Rowdy Tellez, Seattle Mariners vs. Miami Marlins, $2,500
I’m not usually in the business of stacking Mariners bats — especially when the team is at home playing at T-Moblie Park — yet Seattle’s lineup is on fire the past couple of weeks. Across specifically the last 14 days, the Mariners actually own AL-best marks in both wOBA (.354) and wRC+ (141). Tellez has been a large part of the turnaround. After beginning the season 1-for-20 without a single extra-base hit, Tellez has managed four home runs and a 177 wRC+ dating back to April 11. There’s some real upside in this asset priced just above the minimum.
The presence of Cal Quantrill ($5,200) also aids Tellez’s case for a lineup slot. Quantrill’s been beat-up in his four outings in 2025, pitching to an 8.31 ERA and surrendering more walks (9) than strikeouts (8). The right-hander was a late signing in Spring Training for Miami and it’s starting to become clear why he was unemployed for so long.
