Washington Nationals team total bases over 12.5 -115
This could be a good offensive night for the Nationals, going up against Orioles starter Cade Povich. He’s been abysmal through 18.1 innings, posting a 6.38 ERA with an xERA of 6.60 and a 5.21 FIP. Home runs have been a big problem, as he’s already given up four, resulting in a 1.9 HR/9 rate. The Nationals will load up on righties in their lineup tonight, as righties have tagged Povich for a .491 wOBA this season.
Behind Povich will be one of the worst bullpens in the league. They currently have the highest ERA in the league, the third-highest FIP, and one of the lowest K/9 rates. Those numbers aren’t much better over the past week, as this bullpen has combined for an 8.31 ERA, a 6.82 FIP, and just a 6.7 K/9. The Nationals should generate consistent contact from start to finish.

Nolan Schanuel over 1.5 H/R/RBI +105
Schanuel, in my opinion, is a sneaky player to target tonight. He’ll face Pirates starter Carmen Mlodzinski, who has struggled against left-handed batters. Early this season, Mlodzinski has a .460 wOBA against lefties, allowing 17 hits, eight for extra bases. He primarily throws a four-seam fastball and slider, which account for 61% of his pitches. Since last season, Schanuel has a .341 wOBA against four-seam fastballs and a .427 wOBA against sliders. With Mlodzinski likely to struggle again, Schanuel is in a great spot to exceed his Hits/Runs/RBI total.
