Since I get paid by the word, I shall expound a bit. I kid, I kid. I don’t get paid by the word, but I’m a Raiders fan so this will be a pleasurable piece to write.
Jeanty was unstoppable two seasons ago at Boise State, rushing 220 times for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Last season, Jeanty made a mockery of the college football landscape, as he carried 374 times for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns! The 29 touchdowns were the seventh-most in college football history, eight shy of Barry Sanders’ 37 in 1988.
As a result, Jeanty finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting because Travis Hunter changed the college football landscape, dominating on both sides of the ball.
Jeanty has quick feet and excellent vision. He did not run the 40-yard dash at the combine, but it’s believed that it’s in the 4.4 to 4.5 range. He had 14 runs over 50 yards last season, but the most impressive aspect of Jeanty’s game is the ability to run through and around contact. He broke 106 tackles last season and forced 163 missed tackles, besting second place in both categories by significant margins.

The landing spot in Las Vegas is manna raining down from the heavens for the fantasy community.
Las Vegas has upgraded at head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterback. In Pete Carroll’s 17 years as a head coach, the rushing offense ranked top five in yards six times. There were two other seasons with 12th and 11th finishes. Chip Kelly was the head coach in the NFL for four seasons and his teams finished top 10 in yards three of those seasons. After spending time in college, he returns to the NFL as the new offensive coordinator of the Raiders.
The offensive line of the Raiders was one of the worst last season. PFF has the unit ranked 23rd, but over the last four games of the season, the unit was ranked eighth. The draft and free agency could improve the unit, while the scheme should help as well. Jeanty, being an amazing talent with great vision, should help out the unit as well.
Jeanty should garner most of the snaps at running back this upcoming season, as the depth chart behind him is filled by Raheem Mostert, Sincere McCormick, Zamir White and Dylan Laube.
The passing game should be more than functional, as Geno Smith is a veteran, Brock Bowers is already one of the best pass-catching tight ends in the game and Jakobi Meyers is an underrated wide receiver. The chains should be moving and there could be a bevy of red zone opportunities.
Volume is king for fantasy football, and Jeanty should see all the volume he can handle. Add in the fact that he’s talented and entering an offensive situation that should be improved, the fantasy prospects for Jeanty are very bright.
