What happened to Jimmy Butler? Live injury updates for Warriors vs. Rockets 4/23/25

UPDATE 4/24/25: Butler did not suffer a fracture or structural damage. While his status for Game 3 is in question, the official diagnosis is a deep glute muscle contustion.

UPDATE: Butler has been ruled out for the game with a pelvic contusion.

After getting tangled with Houston Rockets guard Amen Thompson, Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler took a hard fall and went to the locker room with an injury.

Butler, 35, landed squarely on his backside and immediately grimaced in pain. After shooting free throws, he was taken out of the game. He will not return tonight.
