TODAY’S MOST BET MLB PLAYER PROPS

BREAK IT DOWN:

Shoehei Ohtani 1+ Home Runs (+360): Even though he’s facing a lefty in Matthew Boyd, Ohtani to hit a home run is gettig the most attention of all props on Wednesday night. Ohtani has six homers on the season but didn’t go deep since last Wednesday in Colorado. He was away from the team for a few games on paternity leave but returned on Sunday, going 0-for-3 before going 0-for-4 in Tuesday’s series opener in Chicago. The teams combined for 21 runs in that game, though, and the public thinks Shohei will flex his dad muscles with a home run this Wednesday. Boyd has given up just one home run this season, but lefties have hit .364 against him and hit two homers off him last year in just 28 at-bats.

Gunnar Henderson 1+ Home Runs (+390): Henderson has two home runs since being activated from the IL 15 games ago with a .197 ISO and 62.5% hard-hit rate, per Statcast. Both of his home runs have come in the last five games, when he has also recorded three barrels with a max exit velocity of over 101 mph in all but one of those games. Henderson is batting second in the Orioles’ order against Trevor Williams, who has served up three homers in his four starts this season. All three of those homers were hit by lefties like Henderson, and lefties are hitting an impressive .455 with a .510 wOBA and .727 lugging against Williams in the early going this season.

James Wood 1+ Home Runs (+475): On the other side that early game in the Beltway Series, James Wood is getting some love in his matchup against Orioles’ righty Tomoyuki Sugano. Sugano has given up four homers in four starts this season, and Wood has hit six homers in his last 14 games. He has led off each of the last four games for Washington and gone 6-for-17 (.353) with a maximum exit velocity of at least 106.6 mph in each of those four games and a 53.3% hard-hit rate and a pair of barrels. He is absolutely crushing the ball, and hitting leadoff could get him an extra at-bat to hit this prop on Wednesday in a favorable matchup
