The Cleveland Cavaliers had a big 21-point victory against the Miami Heat in Game 1. Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, Cleveland faces Miami in Game 2 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Cavs’ backcourt: Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland combined for 57 points in Game 1. Mitchell led the way with 30 points on 11-19 from the field. Here is my favorite prop bet for Mitchell in Game 2 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Donovan Mitchell over 25.5 points (-125)

Mitchell averaged 24 points per contest this season but has turned it up recently. He has totaled 26 or more points in four of his last six games. You can get Mitchell’s over in points at -125 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

In five of Mitchell’s last six games against the Heat, he has scored more than 25.5 points. Even though the Cavs lost to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals last season, Mitchell ended the year scoring the ball at an elite level. Mitchell scored 28 or more points in his final six postseason games in 2024.

The Cavs shot a terrific 41.9 percent on three-pointers in Game 1 of this series. Although Mitchell finished 2-9 from long range, he has shown he is a willing shooter. In seven of Mitchell’s last 10 games, in which he made two or more threes, he has hit this scoring mark. Mitchell’s success is essential for the Cavs as a team, and another elite performance is likely in his future against the inconsistent Miami Heat.
