What happened to Corey Seager? Live injury updates for Rangers vs. Athletics

UPDATE: The Rangers have placed Seager on the 10-day IL.

Corey Seager left Tuesday’s game against the Athletics with right hamstring tightness. Josh Smith took over shortstop, and the Rangers inserted Leody Taveras to play center field.

The Rangers subbed Seager out after his sixth inning at-bat. He grounded into a fielder’s choice to end the top half of the inning. Taveras entered the game in the bottom half.

Seager finished the night with one hit and two runs in four at-bats. Texas led 8-2 at the time of his exit.
