WATCH: Alex Ovechkin scores OT winner vs. Canadiens on Monday 4/21/25

The future hall-of-famer was at it again on Monday, this time scoring the game-winning, overtime goal to give the Capitals a 1-0 series lead over the Canadiens.

Ovechkin is coming off a ridiculous season at the age of 39, posting 44 goals in his 65 games. He most notably set the all-time NHL record for career goals, surpassing Wayne Gretzky, who held the record with 894.

Ovechkin also scored in the first period of Monday’s game against Montreal to finish the night with two goals. Ironically enough, his OT winner was the first playoff game-winner of his magical career. Watch the goal below.
