New York’s ability to turn up the heat when it mattered, alongside its efficient offense (52% shooting) and defensive stands in the fourth, shows that this team is built for the playoff grind. The Knicks’ shooting efficiency and defense (ninth in points allowed) put them in the driver’s seat, especially against a Pistons squad that allowed 40 points in the final period of Game 1.
The Pistons, despite a valiant effort led by Tobias Harris’ 25 points and Cade Cunningham’s 21 points and 12 assists, couldn’t maintain their lead in the crunch time.
