What happened to Luis Arraez? Live injury updates for Padres vs. Astros

UPDATE: On Sunday night, Padres manager Mike Shildt appeared on a local radio station with a positive update on Luis Arraez.

UPDATE: The Padres have released a statement with an update on Arraez’s condition.

In the first inning of Sunday’s game vs. the Astros, Luis Arraez was carted off the field after a collision with Mauricio Dubón. Arraez was running to first base after a hit when the injury occurred.

On the season, Arraez has recorded nine runs, 25 hits, seven RBI’s and three home runs. Hopefully, this injury is not serious and Arraez is back behind the plate in no time.
