The NBA regular season is finally over, and the 2025 postseason field is set. Fans will be treated to a four-game slate of high-stakes action, starting at 1 PM EST with Bucks vs. Pacers. Later, the Clippers and Nuggets will face off in a battle between NBA Finals MVPs Kawhi Leonard and Nikola Jokic. This evening, Jalen Brunson’s Knicks will host the upstart Pistons in primetime. As a nightcap, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves travel to LA for a date with the Lakers.

Michael Porter Jr. more than 25.5 points + rebounds + assists
Every member of the Nuggets other than Nikola Jokic has been criticized this season, including stretch-4 Michael Porter Jr. Due to his up-and-down performance, the forward isn’t the association’s most reliable third option. Still, when he’s on, the sixth-year-pro is capable of knocking down shots from anywhere on the floor. This season, he’s averaged 18.2 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 50.4% from the field.
A tenacious defense such as the Clippers will do their best to slow down Jokic. Whether or not that proves successful, the big man’s unselfish nature should lead to plenty of passes. Porter Jr. has notched at least 26 points + rebounds + assists over his last three games vs. Los Angeles. Look for MPJ to contribute in a big way for a Denver team in desperate need of production.
Bogdan Bogdanovic more than 7.5 points
In one of the trade deadline’s more under-the-radar moves, the Clippers acquired Bogdan Bogdanovic from the Hawks. The deal hasn’t had a dramatic effect, but Bogi has fit in nicely on Los Angeles’ bench. Over 30 games with his new team, the Serbian has averaged 11.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists. On a roster that lacks secondary ball handlers, the eighth-year pro serves a crucial role.
Tonight’s matchup is ideal for every Clippers player, especially a score-first wing. The Nuggets have surrendered the seventh-most points (117.5) and tenth-most three-pointers made (14.1) per game. Since the All-Star break, Denver is tied for the ninth-worst defensive rating in basketball (119.3). Even if he only plays around 20 minutes, Bogdanovic is poised to make an impact this afternoon.
OG Anunoby more than 16.5 points
The lights of Madison Square Garden will be shining on Saturday when the Knicks host the Pistons. Jalen Brunson and Cade Cunningham are the main attractions, but role players will determine this series. Detroit boasts a much deeper bench, while the Knicks wield one of basketball’s best starting lineups. That includes OG Anunoby, a true difference-maker on both ends of the court. This season, the forward put up 18.0 points per game on 47.6% shooting.
When Jalen Brunson suffered an ankle sprain in February, it allowed some other Knicks to take on a bigger role. Nobody has seized this opportunity more than Anunoby, averaging 23.3 points over his previous 15 outings. In two of his three games against Detroit this season, the 27-year-old has scored at least 17 points. Entering tonight’s matchup on a hot streak, another stellar showing is likely.
Tobias Harris less than 13.5 points
Following a disappointing tenure with the 76ers, Tobias Harris has bounced back nicely. In his second stint with the Pistons, he’s produced 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season. Harris isn’t asked to take on a significant scoring role, but he serves as an invaluable veteran presence. If nothing else, he’s been consistent, notching at least ten points in 54 of his 73 appearances (74.0%).
Including last spring’s playoff series with Philadelphia, Harris has plenty of history with the Knicks. Unfortunately, most of it is mediocre at best. During the forward’s last ten games vs. New York, he’s recorded 14 or more points only twice. It hasn’t been a matter of workload either, as Harris has averaged 34.1 points during that stretch. History tells us the 32-year-old could have a hard time getting shots up at MSG tonight.
Jaden McDaniels more than 10.5 points
In a battle with LeBron James and Luka Doncic, defense will be crucial for the Timberwolves. That should lead to plenty of work for Jaden McDaniels, one of the NBA’s best wing stoppers. The 24-year-old can be inconsistent on offense, but he’s capable of delivering a solid stat line. This season, he’s posted 12.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists on 47.7% shooting.
Considering Minnesota’s need for McDaniels on defense, it will be near-impossible to take him off the court. This season, the forward played 40+ minutes seven different times; in those contests, he’s posted 17.9 points per game. During his last two meetings with the Lakers, McDaniels has dropped at least 15 points. Anything close to that tonight would make him a must-target value pick.
LeBron James less than 6.5 assists
Speaking of LeBron, the future Hall of Famer is seeking to win his fifth career NBA title. Even with a new-look roster, that task won’t be easy in the loaded Western Conference. Fortunately, LBJ has played some of the best basketball of his illustrious career this season. Through 70 games, the four-time MVP has posted 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists.
The first step in the road to the Finals comes against a scrappy Timberwolves team led by Anthony Edwards. This is a squad with plenty of bodies to throw at James, including the aforementioned McDaniels. Down low, Rudy Gobert is still one of the game’s best rim protectors. This is a matchup that has stifled ‘Bron’s passing skills in the past. Over his last 11 meetings with Minnesota, the King has reached seven assists only once. In what could be an intense contest, expect LeBron to take over as a scorer, not a distributor.
