On another full day of baseball this Saturday, one of the four games under the lights is the Twins visiting the Braves. Both teams are off to rough starts to the seasons as they meet for this three-game set in Atlanta, and the Braves took the first game, 6-4 after a big eighth-inning comeback. First pitch of this game at Truist Park is set for 7:15 p.m. ET. With so many ways to break down the matchup, here are a few of my best bets for Braves vs. Twins on 4/19/25.

Over 7.5 total runs (-115)
Both of these offenses have been very bad this season, which is why the over/under for this game is set so low. However, the starting pitchers in this matchup have also been extremely hittable. The two teams combined for 10 runs on Friday night, and the Braves have been involved in games with at least eight runs in six of their last seven contests.
Chris Sale has given up at least three runs in each of his four starts and has not lasted more than five innings, with three of those four games going over this total run line. On the other side, Simeon Woods Richardson has allowed seven runs in 14 1/3 innings this season and has been especially hittable by lefties. While the Braves’ offense has had lots of issues this season, they definitely come well-stocked with left-handed hitters that can provide power.
Even though both offenses have struggled, the arms have been shakey enough to take this very low over/under as the first of my best bets for Braves vs. Twins on Saturday night.
Total Walks over 6.5 (+100)
Both starting pitchers have struggled with walks this season, so even though this 6.5 walk line seems high, I think the game has a chance to go over. Sale issued three walks in his last start and Woods Richardson handed out four free passes two starts ago against the Royals. He didn’t walk any in his last start against the Tigers, but the Braves are a much more patient team overall.
On the year, the Braves rank in the top 10 in the MLB in walk rate, but the Twins rank third-to-last. Atlanta has drawn an average of 3.6 walks per game, while the Twins have averaged 2.5 walks per game. The pitching staffs combine for an average of 6.0 walks per game as well.
Last night, seven walks were issued between the two teams, with the Twins’ bullpen issuing a couple of key walks to help fuel the Braves’ rally. With both starting pitchers struggling, getting the over combined in walks at plus money is a good option to consider.
Ozzie Albies over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-105)
Sure, we could be haters and take Alex Verdugo under 0.5 hits for +175, but let’s pick somebody to do something productive instead of just picking against the struggling pitchers. Combing through the two teams’ lineups, one of the best hitters lately has been Albies.
Albies has 40 hits, runs and RBI this season and had four last night, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. He has gone over this line in seven of his last eight games, and the switch-hitter will be hitting lefty against Woods Richardson on Saturday. Since lefties are hitting .423 with a .475 wOBA off Woods Richardson this year, Albies is the top player prop in my Twins-Braves bets for this Saturday.
